The Genesis Range of Nixie Clocks from Bad Dog Designs. Made to compliment our traditional upcycled and Steampunk Nixie clocks, the Genesis clocks are made from ultra modern 3D printed cases in a range of colours and top plates. The 3D printed part is made to the highest quality and each case takes 12 hours to produce. The material used is called PLA and is a type of plastic made from corn starch and ultimately biodegradable. Once printed, the case is then hand finished and the clock then assembled and tested. As well as a choice of case colours, you can have the top in black acrylic which is completely opaque, or you can have smoked acrylic and you can then gaze at the internal electronics. The electronics are fully featured, utilising 6 German Z570M Nixie tubes with the correct’5′ digit. Time and Date display. Programmable RGB lighting that changes colour on the hour – or you can turn off the LED lighting all together. 12 / 24hr mode. Nixie tubes can last in excess of 20 years before needing replacement. Fade / Slots / Scrollback display effects. Anti Cathode poisoning routine. Optional GPS or WiFi Connectivity with an additional module. Clock measures 179mm wide X 65mm deep and 70mm to the top of the tubes. Supplied with mains adaptor for your country.
